This service is to completely transform your 1930's or older front door back to its original looking condition.

We begin with a through cleaning and sanding of the door to remove old defective coatings that have built up over many years of neglect.

Any open joints, cracks and old key lock holes etc are opened up to remove any existing defective fillers and bad timber, This is then treated and filled using a resin based filling system that actually bonds to the wood and holds it together, This is followed by even more sanding using our dustless sanding system for less mess, A first coat of primer is then applied and left to dry. This is followed by a further coat of undercoat, When dry, further inspection for imperfections is carried out and any are filled using a fine filling substance.

This is then sanded and a further 2 coats of undercoat is applied.

When dry the door is again fine sanded and cleaned down.

A first coat of solvent based gloss paint is then heated up and applied, Once completely dry, This is again finely sanded and the finale coat is applied to leave a mirror like finish.

This whole process is done over a few days and is very time consuming, However the end results are worth it leaving the front of your property standing out from the crown with a classic timeless looking front door
